Phil Taylor and Samantha Spencer

Father and daughter Phil and Sam perform a variety of genres of Irish and English Folk music as well a few country and contemporary songs too, all performed with a sense of fun and passion.

Phil plays guitar and sings, and has led Irish band Whiskey in the Jar for almost 30 years, before that he was a former member of Lancashire folk band The Tacklers and the Millstone Ceildh Band.

Sam plays fiddle, guitar, whistles and bodhran and plays alongside her father in Whiskey in the Jar.  Sam is also a talented songwriter and proudly sings songs about her travellers roots.

WHISKEY IN THE JAR have been entertaining folks for thirty years in 2019, and to celebrate they are playing some great venues.  If you want to see Phil and Sam perform alongside Sean (accordion) and Steve (banjo and mandolin) then have a look at our website www.witj.co.uk
